KKR speedster Pat Cummins on Monday donated $50,000 to the PM Cares Fund to aid India in its fight against the Covid Pandemic that has been raging through the country.
As the cases across the states continue to surge and people are struggling to even get access to Oxygen, Cummins decided to contribute to specifically help the government "purchase Oxygen supplies for India's Hospitals".
Cummins sent out a heart-felt message to the people of the country and said, "To everyone out there in India, we are thinking of you. Stay safe, look after each other stay home, wear your mask. Hopefully we can provide a little bit of entertainment. Just thinking of all you guys out there."
The Aussie stated in an official release on social media that even though there had been a lot of concern surrounding IPL's continuity in a pandemic situation, he has been advised that "the Indian Government is of the view that playing the IPL while the population is in lockdown provides a few hours of joy and respite each day at an otherwise difficult time for the country".

He also urged his fellow IPL players to come in support of India and contribute to help the affected.
Cummins' gesture has already won a lot of hearts in this hour of crisis, including that of KKR CEO Venky Mysore, who reacted to his post and said, "You are a class act @patcummins30. Thanks for this gesture. @KKRiders ,#WeAreInThisTogether"
