KKR have unearthed many quality spinners over the years, whether it's Sunil Narine or Varun Chakravarthy. The newest member added to the club last year was Suyash Sharma - a 20 year old young leg spinner with an immense amount of potential. Hailing from Delhi, Suyash Sharma began his cricketing career by playing club cricket in Delhi and later made his debut at the junior level. He didn't take long to impress everyone and took another step by making it to the senior level for Delhi.
Despite having no experience playing at the senior level, the KKR franchise scouted him and showed faith in him. Suyash was picked in the auction ahead of the 2023 IPL season and the team management believed in his skillset and backed him right from the start. The youngster made an instant impact on debut against RCB as he picked up 3 wickets in front of a roaring Eden Gardens crowd. A dream start for Suyash, filled him as well as the team management with a lot of confidence. He was given the ball in tough situations all through the season and he delivered almost every time. As the 2024 season inches closer, Suyash will be hoping to better his last year's performance and deliver winning performances for KKR throughout the season.
