Pat Cummins is a talent recognised at a very early age. He is the hottest buy of IPL 2020 and is currently the No.1 fast bowler in the world.
He made his Test and ODI debut at the age of 18 against South Africa in 2011. But a series of injuries held him out of professional cricket for six years. He returned in 2017 in Australia colours and has never looked back ever since.
He sparkled in the 2019 Ashes series in England. Cummins was the leading wicket-taker for the series, scalping 29 wickets across 5 matches, at an average of 19.62. He was instrumental in Australia’s series win and soon became the No. 1 ranked Test bowler in the world. He also claimed Australia’s coveted Allan Border Medal as the 2018-19 Men's Cricketer of the Year. He has evolved as a batsman as well over the years. In fact, he has two 50s under his belt in the Tests.
Cummins was first picked for KKR in 2014. And after a stint with Delhi, he is back in the KKR fold as the second most expensive buy in the history of IPL (RS 15.5 crores).
