In a must win encounter in Mohali, Kolkata Knight Riders thumped to a convincing 7-wicket win over Kings XI Punjab to keep their playoff hopes alive. Chasing a competitive total of 184, the batters contributed to make it an easy run chase in the end.

One of the stars from the victory, Chris Lynn blasted a 22-ball 46 to set the tone on the night in Mohali. He took his time in the middle and hit a total of 8 boundaries (5 fours & 3 sixes) during his knock. “We were clinical with the bat and it was a good wicket, momentum was key in this game.”

KKR bagged their sixth win of the season and Lynn had a few words for Skipper DK who was quite animated on the field. “DK lost his marbles there, we’ve learnt to live with that over the last couple of weeks. That is what DK is about.”

The team has definitely found their mojo back after consecutive wins and are playing at their best. Lynn further mentioned “It is good to play with a smile, we missed that in the last couple of games. The boys put on a good show tonight.”

Lynn’s opening partner, Shubman Gill played a match-winning knock of 65 in front of his home crowd and was awarded the man of the match award for it. “Shubman Gill was brilliant for us tonight.”
