Ravichandran Ashwin, playing in a four-day county match for Surrey, picked up 6/27 in the second innings against Somerset at the Oval on Wednesday.

Ashwin extracted a lot of turn and bounce off the Day 4 turf, dismissing the likes of Steven Davies, Tom Lammonby, and James Hildreth early in the innings.

Before lunch, he also cleaned up George Bartlett and accounted for Roelof van der Merwe.

In the second session, he clean-bowled Ben Green to pick up his sixth wicket and help Surrey skittle Somerset out for just 69 runs. Surrey would need 249 in the second innings to wrap up the game.

In the first innings, Ashwin finished with figures of 1/99.
