Tu Fan Nahi Toofan Hai! Our supporters are our backbone and they have proved to be an extended family of the Kolkata Knight Riders each time. Some of our Toofani fans have got plenty of emotional stories and photos to share on their association with KKR. Some fell in love with the Knight Riders in the very first season because of their admiration for Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan and Prince of Calcutta, Sourav Ganguly, who is now the BCCI president. Some joined on the way and stayed back with us ever since. We have our Toofani stories from all across the world. Below listed are a few of them:

#ToofaniFanStories "I have fond memories of being taught the art of cricket as a child by my grandfather. We played in local fields and I had the pleasure of making runs whilst the ball was being found in long grass as I hit it for a six! Discovering later in life, a love of Bollywood movies and the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, I fell deeper in love with the sport when I heard that SRK had bought a team. Kolkata Knight Riders sounded like just the right kind of name for a team! I have to confess that it was SRK that drew my interest to begin with but I soon found that I was enjoying the game and began following the progress of the team members. Having already established myself as an artist of Shah Rukh Khan drawings & paintings at this point in time, I decided to try my hand at drawing the players of KKR. One of my first was Shakib Al Hassan, which caused a sensation online when I shared it. As I progressed, I started creating more drawings and I noticed that every time I drew a team member, KKR would win the match. But if I didn’t draw one, they would lose the game. This made me slightly superstitious and I then felt that if I didn’t make a drawing for each game, it might bring bad luck. Drawing the players became as much of an obsession as drawing SRK, but I grew to know and love the players and the game more as a result. Now, I get as excited watching the matches as any KKR fanatic! I love watching the progress of the young players like Shubman and Mavi. Unfortunately, only from the TV in my living room. One day, I hope to come to India and watch some matches live at the iconic Eden Gardens! When the coronavirus allows me to!" - Linda Perdiger from Stockton-on-Tees, United Kingdom We're feeling the love from all corners of the globe! #ToofaniFanStories "It's not just a team for me, it's an emotion and passion for the City of Joy. This jersey is my PRIDE. Kolkata to me is the most passionate city in india and the people of Kolkata love their cricket! And when it comes to KKR, it's beyond any words. As I was a little kid I watched the first match in my hostel by hiding behind a door. Brendon McCullum's 158* and Sourav Ganguly facing the 1st ball of the IPL is still in my mind. From then till now, through the ups and downs, I have always been a die hard supporter. It's easy to support a side when winning but true fans are those who stay by their teams during struggle! I can still remember the day we won in 2012, I cried for 2 hours with happiness and continued till the day the players and SRK came to Eden Gardens with the cup to celebrate with us fans. And when we won again in 2014, my joy was second to none! Players like the Magical Sunil Narine, Dinesh Karthik, Gill, Nitish Rana and my favourite Andre Russell, give so much joy to the fans, I can't explain in words. They always put a smile on our faces. My love affair with Eden Gardens and KKR will remain till my last breath no matter what. We will miss supporting the boys from the Eden's stands this year but your loyal fans are always behind to support you from home this year. Bring the trophy back home, love you all and best of luck to the players of our very own KKR!" - Proteek Sen Share your Toofani Stories with us at social@kkr.in and stand a chance to get featured on our page! #TuFanNahiToofanHai #KKR #Dream11IPL

#ToofaniFanStories "For me, KKR was never a team but was an emotion. Since I was a kid, SRK has been my idol, KKR was his team and so it was mine. I myself had been a cricketer during my school/college times. For me, IPL was as good as watching the Indian team play. I have been lucky enough to practice with some members of the team when I used to play for the state team. All my friends, family, everyone knew that if there's a KKR match I will be seeing the match either at the stadium or at home. I always make sure I never miss a game. Whenever KKR won, I won and when they lost, I felt the loss more harshly. KKR is My Team. KKR is My city's Team. KKR is Bengal's Team." - Aashutosh Tewari Share your Toofani Stories with us by emailing them to social@kkr.in, and stand a chance to get featured! #TuFanNahiToofanHai #KKR #Dream11IPL

#ToofaniFanStories "My love for Kolkata Knight Riders dates all the way back to the first season of IPL when I got to know that the owner of this team was Shah Rukh Khan and the captain was our very own Dada. To have both my favourites from two different fields together hyped me up a lot. I remember coming back from school and freshening up super soon so that I could sit right in front of my TV for the 4:30 PM matches. The 8 PM ones would come with lots of anxiety since I had to hurry back home from my classes because I just couldn't afford to miss one single second of the match! I would literally glue my eyes on the TV and pray that KKR wins. When I got a chance to watch a KKR match live at Eden Gardens in 2008, it was one of my fondest memories and brought the brightest smile to my face. I remember buying the jersey, painting my face, and shouting in the stadium at the top of my voice. I've been that crazy, stupid fan of KKR till date. My heart broke when Dada was not in the team anymore but that didn't cause my love for KKR to decrease. The team is more like an emotion to me now. I always go back to them because of their unity and the sportsmanship they have. Win or lose, they're always together, like a team should be. I manage to watch at least one match from Eden Gardens every year and I still hold that level of exhilaration that I had in me in 2008. This year might be different, but we're still with you. All the best team, I know that we would be on the top!" - Aastha Dalal We might not be playing in front of you this year, but you're with us always! #ToofaniFanStory "Ever since the IPL began back in 2008, for me it has been KKR or nothing. This takes me back to the days when I was just a 9/10-year-old kid and used to accompany my dad and his friends to IPL matches. Chanting K-K-R from the stands, from the old cemented seats to the new chairs now, I've tried and stood by KKR through it all. I don't remember rooting for any other team in the IPL. To say the love for KKR runs through generations may not be wrong. I'll just state an example for this, my dad and his friends used to take me to the match, now almost 11 years later, the ritual continues. He may no longer be with us now, but the ritual to watch the team continues to be the same as now I am there in the stands supporting my team. Korbo, lorbo, jeetbo is an emotion, Nothing can beat that. From praying for Mccullum and Dada to now supporting DK and Gill, we are Kolkata Knight Riders forever." - Sidhanth Chakraborty This year, we play for you!
