As the new KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane set foot at the Eden Gardens for the first time this season, a palpable excitement filled the air. Renowned for his composure, Rahane embodied his characteristic calm through his movements. Here’s a glimpse into how his first day unfolded at Eden Gardens:

Pitch Puja

Before the start of the first training session of the season at Eden Gardens, the traditional Wicket Puja happened as skipper Rahane & Head Coach Chandrakant Pandit on behalf of everyone took the blessing from the sacred grounds before commencing this exciting journey. An air of positivity and calmness flew throughout the unit as the puja happened.

Ajinkya further went on to have a discussion with the head coach and mentor before the commencement of the practice.

Centre wicket practice

Rahane then proceeded to have an intense practice session at the centre wicket against the pacers, side-armers and spinners. He was seen driving a lot of balls as well as focusing on the scoop shots.

Interaction with the fans

Despite a hectic training session, skipper Rahane took out time for the fans who were eagerly waiting to meet him and interacted with them exchanging autographs, selfies and a lot of smiles as he capped off a fruitful day.
