We are in the middle of a hectic Indian domestic season. And our Knights have come up with some fantastic performances so far in the Ranji Trophy! Here is a glance at the performers from Round 5:

Gautam Gambhir (Delhi):

Playing against Karnataka, Gambhir made a magnificent 144 in the first innings that included 22 fours. It was the standout performance for his team & a much needed one too. Delhi got to bat only once as Karnataka piled up 884 runs (both innings). The game ended in a draw. Delhi are currently in second position in Group A.

Robin Uthappa (Saurashtra):

The dashing opener made valuable contributions as Saurashtra faced-off against Gujarat. His 30 in the first innings was followed by an unbeaten 64 in the second as the match ended in a draw. Saurashtra top Group B with Gujarat at second spot.

Manish Pandey (Karnataka):

The middle-order batsman, who played his first Ranji match of this season, impressed every one by batting brilliantly. He scored 74 in the first innings and followed it with an unbeaten 34 in the second.

Suryakumar Yadav (Mumbai):

Mumbai, who were playing their 500th Ranji match, fought hard to salvage a point in the end at Wankhede Stadium against Baroda. The home team showed some of their famous grit  to eke out an honourable draw on the final day. Suryakumar Yadav's resilient 44 off 132 balls was a reflection of the never-say-die spirit of Mumbai cricket.

Ishank Jaggi (Jharkhand):

Jharkhand who were playing away against Jammu & Kashmir lost the game by 106 runs. Ishank Jaggi, who has been in great form this season with three tons, failed to get going in this one. He made 13 and 6 which allowed J&K to gain an upper hand in the contest.

Rishi Dhawan (Himachal Pradesh):

All-rounder Rishi Dhawan, contributed with the ball and bat. He made 35 in the first innings and followed it up with 22 in the second innings. He picked up 3/127 in the first innings as well but they could not save the match for Himachal Pradesh against Chattisgarh.
