The Gautam Gambhir-led Delhi Daredevils will lock horns with Kolkata Knight Riders tonight at Eden Gardens. DD have the momentum in their stride, coming into this game at the back of their big win against defending champions Mumbai Indians. Kolkata Knight Riders, however, will look to fire too, and further improver their already impressive record against the visitors at Eden Gardens (W-L, 6-1).

News from the Knights's camp
Despite the two losses in a row, Kolkata Knight Riders will be backing their strength of playing at home against Delhi Daredevils. In the three matches we have played, our top four batsmen have scored at an average of 22.5 runs between them, and that will be something the Knights would look to work on.

There’s plenty for skipper Dinesh Karthik to think about as far as the batting order is concerned. Shubman Gill, who normally bats at the top-order, came at number 7 against SRH, plus the role of Shivam Mavi, who bowled only in the 15th over of the match, will also become clearer if they make it to the playing XI.

Robin Uthappa is yet to deliver at his best, but he’ll look forward to changing gears here, considering his good run against Delhi Daredevils (he has hit 30-plus knocks 9 times vs DD).

In other news, the Knights’ family just got bigger and better with the inclusion of Karnataka fast bowler, Prasidh Krishna, who replaced injured Kamlesh Nagarkoti for the remainder of the IPL 2018 season. Abhishek Nayar too, has joined the Knight Riders's support staff.

Delhi Daredevils: Recent form
DD Skipper Gautam Gambhir would look to keep their winning momentum going. Jason Roy’s blistering knock of 91 single-handedly took the game away from Mumbai Indians the other night. Gambhir and DD would expect Roy to go for something similar, if not better. While recent form supports Delhi Daredevils, their record at Eden Gardens tells another story. In seven matches they have played at Eden Gardens, DD could manage to win just once.

History
The two teams have faced each other 19 times in IPL and we have an advantage over the visitor with a W-L record of 12-7. The record gets even better when we played DD at Eden Gardens. Out of 7 matches, we have lost only once. Last time we played DD at Eden Gardens, our Vice-Captain was on the beast mode. He smashed 59 runs off 33 balls and assured KKR win the match by 7 wickets.
