The M. A. Chidambaram Stadium witnessed the best ever figures registered by a KKR bowler when Andre Russell bagged his maiden five-wicket haul (5/15) in the shortest format of the game against Mumbai Indians recently. But do you recall who stood tall with the "best figures" for KKR for 9 long years? It's none other than our mystery spinner, Sunil Narine!

On this very day, back in 2012, Narine enthralled a packed crowd at the Eden Gardens with his sublime bowling performance. The Caribbean wrecked through the batting order of the then Kings XI Punjab by picking up 5/19 in his four-over spell.

Coming to bowl inside the powerplay, Narine picked up the prized scalps of Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh to dent the opposition in his first spell.

Narine returned with the ball at the back end of the innings to dismantle the opposition for 134 runs in the first innings.

The West Indian all-rounder was adjudged the Player of the Match for his five wickets, including 14 dot balls in his quota of four overs.
