Chasing 189 runs under lights at the Supersport Park in Centurion was always going to be a daunting task for the Knights. However, the then skipper Brendon McCullum produced one of the most blistering knocks of the tournament, scoring 81 runs off 48 balls to guide the team over the finish line.

His destructive innings was studded with 11 boundaries and three massive sixes. Though there was a bit of nerves when McCullum got out in the 14th over, Hodge's 71 not out off just 44 balls ensured KKR registered a comprehensive seven-wicket win in the end.
