Kolkata Knight Riders have picked Australian cricketer Matt Kelly as a replacement for the injured South African fast bowler Anrich Nortje for the VIVO Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019.
Kelly, 24 years of age, is expected to join the squad over the weekend. He is a right-arm pacer who has played 16 First-Class matches, five List A games and 12 T20s so far. This will be his first stint with an Indian Premier League side.

Apart from his impressive efforts at the death in this year's Big Bash League, he was lauded in the Australian domestic circuit for picking 54 wickets in 16 Sheffield-Shield matches for Western Australia, including figures of 6 for 67 against South Australia recently.
