After being put into bowl, the Indian bowlers started the innings with impressive accuracy & gave away just 8 runs in the first 4 overs. Despite the slow start, Bangladesh openers picked up pace and built a strong partnership. The Indian bowling unit faced a big blow as Hardik Pandya suffered an ankle injury and couldn’t get back on the field. However, the spinners slowly brought India back in the game, as Kuldeep & Jadeja spun a web around the Bangladesh batters to induce a couple of crucial wickets. India did not allow the momentum to shift as they kept on picking wickets at constant intervals and restricted Bangladesh to a below par total of 257.

The Indian run-chase began with a blitzkrieg from Skipper Rohit Sharma & Shubman Gill as the duo piled up boundaries at will against the opposition bowlers. Rohit continued to take on the bowlers and eventually fell in the attempt of hitting the big shots. Bangladesh thought they had a little opening, however the Chase-Master had different plans. Kohli put on an absolute masterclass on chasing as he took calculated risks and played some impeccable shots. KL Rahul came on to put the finishing touches as Kohli launched one into the stands to complete his century as well as a nearly perfect run chase. India will now set their sights on Sunday as they take on the only unbeaten side except them - New Zealand and will be looking forward to putting up another strong performance.
