The time when your favourite Knights from Kolkata reign supreme in your heart and #KorboLorboJeetbo resonates in your mind for a month and a half is here.

With just a week left for the commencement of IPL 2017, Gautam Gambhir and company are leaving no stone unturned to give you enough reasons to celebrate over the next couple of months, as we chase our third title in seven years.

Day three of KKR's practice session on Tuesday (March 28, 2017) was an intense one at Eden Gardens. With big names like Gambhir, Robin Uthappa and Yusuf Pathan already in attendance, there was no let-up in energy on field.

Assistant coach Simon Katich kept a close watch on proceedings as young guns like Sayan Ghosh, Sanjay Yadav and Ankit Rajpoot went about with their practice drills.

Fielding some questions later in a press conference, Katich highlighted that it was important for everyone to adjust quickly in order to deliver their best over the next couple of months.

"Players have to adapt to different formats nowadays. When T20 rolls around, there is no doubt that you have to make slight adjustments, probably not so much in technique but more so the mindset. It's all about acclimatization to the conditions," he mentioned.

With conditions at Eden Gardens favouring fast bowlers in recent times, Katich was confident of a good show from KKR's rich array of pacers.

"Umesh Yadav bowled beautifully with the new ball in the Test series (against Australia). He is going to be crucial for us throughout this campaign. Given what he got at the auctions (Trent Boult, Chris Woakes and Nathan Coulter Nile), we would like to think that those guys would compliment Umesh and Ankit Rajpoot, who performed well in a couple of games last year, well. Not only those guys, but we also have Rishi Dhawan providing good control with the new ball. He can bowl in different stages as well. There are some very good options there if the conditions suit the quicks," concluded our assistant coach.
