The final group stage game of the World Cup unfolded in Bangalore as Team India took on the Netherlands. On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, Team India looked to celebrate the occasion with a victory. The encounter was looked at as an interesting one as the upcoming stars of the Dutch took on the might of the Indian team.

India won the toss and chose to bat first. As it has been the case throughout the tournament, India openers provided a quick-fire start, attacking the Dutch bowlers right from the outset. Shubman Gill registered a joint second-fastest fifty for India in WC. The Dutch got some respite after dismissing both the openers in quick succession however less did they know that it was time for a Shreyas Iyer show. As the run-chase began, the India seamers were on their marks right from the beginning & made run-scoring extremely tough for the opposition batters. Siraj picked up a wicket in his first over itself & post that the Dutch continued to lose wickets in quick succession. Rohit & Kohli also rolled their arm over and even picked up a wicket a piece. All the bowlers chipped in with wickets, as the Netherlands innings wrapped up on 250. India completed a massive win by 160 runs and maintained their unbeaten run throughout the tournament. As they inch closer towards the semi-finals, Team India will be looking to be on their top game and continue their winning momentum to achieve the ultimate glory.
