It seems, India's injury woes are not going to get over anytime soon as Rohit Sharma has now joined the list of ruled-out players for the upcoming 3-Test series against South Africa, starting December 26th.

Rohit, the India vice captain in Tests, sustained a hamstring injury while batting at the nets in Mumbai. India A captain Priyank Panchal has been called in to replace Rohit in the squad. The 31-year-old represents Gujarat in domestic cricket.

BCCI in an official announcement said, "Team India Test vice-captain Rohit Sharma sustained a left hamstring injury during his training session here in Mumbai yesterday. He has been ruled out of the upcoming 3-match Test series against South Africa. Priyank Panchal will replace Rohit Sharma in the Test squad."

Meanwhile, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Rahul Chahar have already been confirmed unavailable for selection due to injuries and are undergoing rehabilitation currently.
