
The second T20 international between India and Sri Lanka scheduled on 27th July, Tuesday, has been postponed by a day after Krunal Pandya tested positive for Covid- 19. Ahead of tonight's match, the all-rounder was found to be positive in a Rapid Antigen Test conducted in the morning.
Eight members of the squad are identified as close contacts and have been advised to isolate. The entire squad will undergo an RT-PCR test today to ascertain any further outbreak in the squad, said the official media release from the BCCI.
According to an updated schedule released by the BCCI, the remaining two fixtures will be played on the 28th and 29th of July at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.
The Indian team lead the T20I series 1-0 after a comprehensive 38-run win on Sunday, 25th July.
