India will lock horns with Pakistan in their inaugural game at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 on 24th October 2021 in Dubai. Earlier on Tuesday, ICC announced the fixtures of the World Cup, confirming the venue and the date for the marquee clash.

The high-voltage tournament will begin on 17th October with hosts Oman taking on Papua New Guinea. The top two teams from the qualifiers will proceed for the Super 12, which will commence from October 23rd in Abu Dhabi with a Group 1 encounter between Australia and South Africa.  

The Indian team will enter the tournament as one of the firm favourites to lift the coveted title and take on New Zealand on 31st October in Dubai.

In their subsequent encounter, the team will be up against Afghanistan on 3rd November at Abu Dhabi and conclude with the Super 12 stage taking on the second-placed qualifying team from Group A on 8th November.

The two semi-finals of the iconic event will be hosted on 10th and 11th November at Abu Dhabi and Dubai, respectively, with both the games having a reserve day.

The summit clash of this event will take place on 14th November in Dubai, with the following day acting as a reserve day.
