Rahul Tripathi’s feat of hitting six sixes in an over twice in Maharashtra Club cricket got him the eye balls that eventually made his way clear for an IPL debut in 2017. His 52-ball 93 against KKR in the same year cemented his place in the cash-rich tournament and he was eventually bought by Kolkata Knight Riders last year. Belonging to an Army family, Tripathi was brought up partly in Lucknow and partly in Srinagar before moving to Pune where he started his cricket journey.
