The Indian limited over squad has assembled in Mumbai for their preparation of the Sri Lanka tour, starting July 13. The players just came out of their week-long quarantine and hit the gym.

A video has now surfaced on the social pages of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) where the young brigade could be spotted having an intense workout session and sharing their emotions about the India call-up and their expectation from the series.

Our Knight Nitish Rana, who got his maiden call up for international cricket, said, "The first seven days were pretty tough for me because I was eagerly waiting to meet my teammates and wear the jersey. Every hour spent in the quarantine felt like a year. Now I have met everyone and the atmosphere is pretty great. Really looking forward to the series."

Talking about the workout sessions, Rana said, "I learnt a few new exercises after meeting the new trainer. I am having this intense a session in the gym after a week. So, yeah, I am looking forward to such intensity in workout and I am sure we will do well in the ODI series."

Varun Chakravarthy, our champion spinner who is also a part of the squad, sounded confident of delivering those match-winning spells if given a chance.

"It's great to be part of the team and representing your country is a special feeling. I have been preparing well. Even during IPL, I had lots of practice. So, yeah, I am ready to go. If I get a chance, I am ready to give my 100%," he said.
