Our Knight Prasidh Krishna might be just two-match old in international cricket but he has already started leaving his footprints on the minds of cricket pundits with his bowling skills. In the 2 ODIs he has played so far against England, he has picked up 6 wickets and his pace and variations have left the cricketing world mighty impressed.

Prasidh’s seam position while releasing the ball has now caught the attention of former India skipper and the legendary Sunil Gavaskar, who felt Prasidh has the mettle to make his mark in Test cricket as well.

“I tell you what, with those seam up deliveries, he is someone that the Indian selection committee must consider seriously for red ball (Tests) as well,” Gavaskar said after Prasidh’s twin strike in the 37th over against England in Pune on Friday.

“Just like Jasprit Bumrah, from T20s and ODIs, has now become India’s premium bowler in the Test format, Prasidh Krishna with his pace and the seam-up position could be a very, very good red ball bowler as well,” he pointed.

Earlier, the likes of Glenn McGrath, Sanjay Bangar and Dinesh Karthik also joined in showering accolades on the young Karnataka fast bowler.

Prasidh made his international debut in the first ODI against England on March 23rd, 2021, and returned record-breaking figures of 4-54, the highest by any Indian in a debut ODI match.
