This will be Andre Russell’s' third 50-over World Cup appearance and looking at the all-rounder's batting prowess during Vivo IPL 2019, one can expect the Jamaican to be one of the biggest names to look out for during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England & Wales.

Andre Russell made his ODI debut against Ireland in the 2011 edition of ICC Cricket World Cup. He picked up a 4-wicket haul in only his second ODI against England. Unfortunately for him, it came in a losing cause as West Indies failed to chase down 243 runs.

During the 2015 edition of the Cricket World Cup, Dre Russ mostly batted at number 8. His role was to go hard with the bat in a limited number of balls. His strike rate of 185.71 was the best among all Windies players. He also had the joint-second most number of maximums (nine) from Windies squad. 

The all-rounder also finished with 11 wickets while conceding less than run-a-ball.

Andre Russell has been in and out of international cricket over the last few years. He’s also happened to have played only two ODIs since the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup. Despite his limited exposure to 50 over cricket, his fitness and ability to hit all over the park at will makes him a dangerous batsman to bowl.
