Our fiery all-rounder Pat Cummins turned 28 years old today! Had it not been for the suspension of IPL 2021, the Aussie pacer would have been celebrating his special day with the KKR family. As cricket takes a back seat in our bid to fight against the rampaging Covid 19 pandemic, we look back at Carnage Cummins' Top 5 performances for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL.

3-17 vs DC, Abu Dhabi, 2020:
This was one of his most economical spells across all IPL matches. KKR had 194 runs on the board batting first. Cummins started off KKR's defence and his spell with a first-ball wicket as he trapped Ajinkya Rahane for a duck. He also plucked the other opener Shikhar Dhawan in his next over. Later, he came back in the death overs to dismiss Kagiso Rabada. Even though the hero of the match was Varun Chakaravarthy for his fifer, Cummins' able support ensured Kolkata's 59-run win.

4-34 vs RR, Dubai, 2020:
Cummins was at his lethal best against Rajasthan Royals last year. He returned his best IPL figures of 4-34 in this match and was adjudged the Man of the Match for his contribution. KKR were defending a sturdy 191 runs and needed to win this encounter by a big margin to stay alive with play-off chances. Cummins delivered on the occasion as he accounted for Rajasthan's Robin Uthappa, Ben Stokes, Steve Smith and Riyan Parag - all within the power play - to reduce them to 5-37 in 5 overs. KKR won the match by 60 runs.

1-19 vs SRH, Abu Dhabi, 2020: This, again, was one of the most miserly spells from the master craftsman. His super 1-11 from 3 overs in the power play thwarted Sunrisers Hyderabad's run flow. Cummins dismissed Jonny Bairstow and returned an overall 1-19 in his 4 overs to restrict Sunrisers to 142-4 in 20 overs. KKR easily chased down the total, winning the encounter by 7 wickets.

66* vs CSK, Mumbai 2021:
KKR might have lost this match but Cummins won everyone's heart with a brilliant 66* off 34 balls to take the Knights tantalisingly close to the 220-run total posted by Chennai Super Kings. Cummins stepped in after Andre Russell's dismissal following his 22-ball 54-run knock and when the chase started looking almost impossible, he shifted gears, firing six maximums and four boundaries to push KKR's total over 200 and take the match to a last-over finish.

53* vs Mumbai, Abu Dhabi, 2020
After a top-order failure, Cummins rescued KKR with his first-ever IPL fifty and took the score to a modest 148-5 along with skipper Eoin Morgan. The duo remained unbeaten - Cummins on 53 off 36 balls and Morgan on 39 off 29 balls - to stage some sort of a fight against a dominating Mumbai Indians. KKR had lost the match but Cummins' effort with the bat remains special till date.
