232 runs at the cost of just two wickets in 20 overs was witnessed in KKR’s batting effort. Not a single bowler was spared, crowd at the stands weren’t safe either. Not many of us could have imagined what exactly was happening at Eden Gardens that night.

In response, Mumbai Indians did put up a good effort as they ended up with a score of 198/7 from 20 overs. Hardik Pandya smashed a 34-ball 91 which gave the away side some hope in a mammoth run chase.

Kolkata Knight Riders needed a win and they earned it in flying colours. Three blazing 50s from KKR and not to forget a blistering knock from Hardik Pandya . We just can't skip sharing some of the personal best and the worst from the match.

Eden Gardens’ best
The home of Indian cricket carries a rich history of great memories. Be it for Indian cricket or during IPL, fans have always had a lot to talk about every time the opportunity comes. Against MI, the home team scored the highest T20 total ever at the venue. We'll remember this day for quite some time.

Shubman's Highest T20 Score
There was no doubt about Shubman's talent and what he brings to the squad. He was trusted to open the innings again and boy what a knock he played. The 19-year old registered his best T20 knock, scoring a fluent 76 when the team needed it the most.

A strong debut for Sandeep Warrier
The Kerala fast bowler earned his maiden IPL cap against MI. With 232 runs on board and facing a deep batting lineup of MI on a flat track, Sandeep finished his quota of four overs and conceded just 29 runs, the most economical after Dre Russ himself. Most importantly, his line and length in his opening spell made a huge difference to put early pressure on MI.

Wicketless Malinga-Bumrah
How often would you see the two of the world's best T20 bowlers getting blasted all over the park? Well, Malinga and Bumrah had a night to forget as both ended up conceding 92 runs in total without taking a single wicket.

Hardik's onslaught
After a huge first innings total, it was time for MI to go all guns. A lot was expected from their top order, but it didn't happened till Hardik Pandya came out to bat.

The all-rounder came out to crease in the ninth over. He scored a brilliant 91 off just 34 balls and almost did the unthinkable. The margin of MI's defeat in the end was 34 runs (7 fours and 1 six). Imagine those boundaries coming at the start of the innings but KKR’s tight bowling surely made some difference.
