Watch: Shakib goes past Mortaza to become Bangladesh's leading ODI wicket-taker
Shakib Al Hasan, on Friday, became Bangladesh's highest ODI wicket-taker, going past Mashrafe Mortaza's 269 wickets.
Shakib dismissed Zimbabwe captain Brendan Taylor en route to his fifer (5/30) in the first ODI at Harare to achieve the feat. He has 274 ODI wickets now in 213 ODIs.
Shakib went past Mortaza in the 15th over when Taylor top-edged one to short fine leg. This is the second time Shakib achieved the milestone, having done the same back in 2016. But later on Mortaza overtook him.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh, batting first, had posted 276/9 and then rode on Shakib's fifer to dismiss Zimbabwe for 121 runs, winning the match by 155 runs.
Shakib's five wickets also included the scalps of Regis Chakabva, Ryan Burl, Blessing Muzarabani and Richard Ngarava.
