West Bengal Chief Minister’s Relief Fund: Kolkata Knight Riders has committed to contributing to the fund.

KKR Sahayta Vahan: The cyclone has left many homeless and devoid of basic necessities, The KKR Sahayata Vahan initiative will cater to multiple locations across West Bengal and help distribute essential kits to people affected especially in satellite towns/districts. Tree Plantation: The KKR Plant A 6 Campaign, under the leadership of Juhi Chawla Mehta, has worked relentlessly over the years in planting trees in Kolkata. KKR pledges to plant and replenish the 5000 trees that were lost in the cyclone over a period of time.

KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter and said, “Kolkata is more than just a city to me. It’s an emotion... In Kolkata, I have found friendship. I’ve found love. I’ve found joy... But beyond everything, what I’ve learnt is the importance of unity and teamwork. Personally, I feel my journey with the #KolkataKnightRiders has served as a metaphor for life and its ups and downs. There have been good days & bad days at Eden Garden, but at the end of the day, we all stood together in the stadium in hope and belief of #KorboLorboJeetbo". Today, as we face these turbulent times, my experience and learnings teach me that there is strength in standing strong together as a team – united and brave. To fight together and win! To that end, Kolkata Knight Riders extends its support to the victims of Amphan…and look forward to overcoming all obstacles together.”

KKR co-owner Juhi Chawla also supported the cause.

Gauri Khan, co-owner of KKR, shared the sentiments as well.

Announcing these initiatives Venky Mysore, CEO & MD, KKR, said “The State of West Bengal and the city of joy have been special to us in many ways. The people of Kolkata and WB have embraced KKR and extended their love and unconditional support over the years. This is a small effort on our part to provide some relief to those affected.”
