Shakib Al Hasan returns to the national side for the first two ODIs vs Sri Lanka
One of the most prolific all-rounders in the modern era, Shakib Al Hasan, has made a comeback to the national side after being side-lined due to a thigh injury against the West Indies.
Shakib found a place in the 15-member squad that The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced for the first two One-day Internationals against Sri Lanka at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur.
The ODIs, a part of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League, will start on Sunday, 23rd May.
The 34-year-old has been one of the consistent performers for the national side and recorded a half-century in his last appearance in the one day format against the West Indies.
His steady knock of 51 runs and contributions from the batting unit helped the team register a comprehensive 120 run victory.
With 6436 runs and 266 wickets in this format, Shakib is a vital cog in the team and one of the legends of the modern era.
