The Best of KKR v SRH

Dinesh Karthik's Knights are all set for a cracking match against the Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad in their third match of the VIVO IPL 2018 at Eden Gardens on Saturday (April 14). Going by the record, SRH have never won at Eden, 'The Home of Knights'. But numbers don't, and will never tell you the entire story.

The two teams have played out some extraordinary matches in the past. Here are three moments that fits the bill as the best of the best.

Unbelievable Kallis
#1 - KKR won by 48 runs, Kolkata, April 14, 2013
Sunrisers Hyderabad made their debut in the IPL in 2013. In their away game against our Knights, their bowling attack was taken apart by Jacques Kallis (41 in 27 balls) and the England's Eoin Morgan (47 in 21 balls). But Kallis wasn't done with his contribution yet. He came back with the ball and single-handedly won the match for us with an impressive bowling figure of 3/13 in 4 overs.

The Pathan magic
#2 - KKR won by 4 wickets, Kolkata, May 24, 2014
That day our Knights weren't just playing with one aim of beating Sunrisers Hyderabad. They were also aiming to beat them convincingly inside 15.2 overs to knock Chennai Super Kings off the second place in the eight-team points table to bag two chances of reaching the final of the 2014 edition. In the end, KKR did that in a very convincing fashion. Yusuf Pathan smashed the then fastest-50 in just 15 balls en-route his 72-run knock, which came off just 22 balls. KKR went on to win it all in the final by beating Kings XI Punjab by 3 wickets.

The dominating Warner
#3 - SRH won by 48 runs, Hyderabad, April 30, 2017
You would be lying to yourself if you say you won't miss David Warner in this season of VIVO IPL. Well here's a flashback of a Warner special. And yes, the knock was against our Knights in 2017. Warner was on savage mode that day. In 10 overs he was cruising at 98 off 40 balls, while Dhawan at the other end had the best view to watch what was one heck of an innings. Warner eventually made 126 runs (59 balls, 8 sixes & 10 fours), and SRH won the match by 48 runs.
